HARRINGTON

The Harrington Wines narrative began twenty-five years ago with Pinot Noir, but over time, a fascination with obscure Old World grapes has developed into the main theme of the story. From the beginning, the goal has been to produce clean, vibrant, stable wines with profiles consistent with the grape-at-hand. To realize this aspiration, small-lot fermentations with minimal manipulation in the vineyard and cellar are the standard.

The Harrington portfolio includes many single vineyard Pinot Noirs as well as an ever-evolving collection of wines produced from grapes such as Nebbiolo, Corvina, Trousseau, Lagrein, Aglianico, Alvarelhao, Sagrantino, Mission, Montepulciano, Falanghina, Ribolla Gialla.

Since 2015, Harrington has been working with the Foundation Plant Service at the University of California, Davis to introduce to America new grapevines from Europe. All varieties listed below have successfully completed the FPS quarantine, are certified virus-free and have been DNA tested as true-to-type:

ITALY: Nerello Mascalese, Frappato, Pelaverga, Nero di Troia, Susumaniello, Famoso, Cesanese, Uva Longanesi (Burson), Bombino Bianco, Centesimino, Passerina, Verdicchio (Lugana), Malvasia Istriana, Rossese Bianco, Nascetta, Lacrima di Morro dʼAlba, Mantonico, Greco di Bianco, Greco Nero, Albana, Glera (release date 2024).

SPAIN: Trepat, Hondarribi Zuri, Mando, Sumoll, Morenillo
